Petri Kuusisto

On his many roles, Petri has gathered 30+ years of direct CIO/CEO and over 20 years of ESG/Impact investing experience from managing large scale global portfolios in Finland and Middle East. He gained peer group topping track record as CIO for a pension fund as well as for a SWF where aside of investments, he was in charge of USD 6 billion sharia compliant treasury operations. Last 15 years Petri has been a serial entrepreneur within consulting/financial services, natural capital and real estate, including the launching of 2 asset management companies as well as 10+ funds incl. Timberland/Multi-Asset/ and ESG driven Emerging/Frontier Equity Funds. In 2020 he co-founded the Impact Innovation Institute and co-authored an academic paper “Introduction to Sustainable Portfolio Theory”, which is a practical decision making framework for Sustainable Investing. His passion is focused on transforming change of mindset within investments and finance. The recently drafted article “Introduction to Sustainable Portfolio Theory” is illustrating the actionable roadmap into the future of investing including a drafted theory/impact investing framework focusing on intentionality and collaboration as new tools for generating excellent outcomes.
