Professor Karamoko Diarra, holds two doctorates in life sciences from Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD), where he has been working since 1989. He has worked as a consultant for many institutions and NGOs. At UCAD, he coordinates the doctoral program ‘Horticulture and Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture’ and the Professional Master in ‘Sustainable Management of Horticultural Agro-Ecosystems’ (GEDAH). His current research focuses on the agroecological management of crop pests in agricultural landscapes, and the valorization of biodiversity and plant and animal waste. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Horticulture Cluster of Senegal. He is the Founder of the Firm Fiabilis Consulting approved by the Ministry of Environment for environmental impact studies and of the Environmental Center for Research and Training in Agroecology (CERFA), a research, training and green business incubation tool for the professional insertion of young people.
